I’ll start off this post by stating that if you came looking for freebies today, I don’t have any for you. You see, I was gone all day yesterday or at least most of the day. We (my dh, dd and I) left around 9:45 Friday morning and got home about 1:15 Saturday morning. We took a drive out to Gettysburg -- a 4 hour trip one way.
Are you wondering why? If so, keep reading and if not, that’s ok. But I am going to tell you. Two weeks ago one of my nephews got married. No big deal, right? WRONG! The thing is, none of the family, not even his parents, were able to attend this wedding. He was married in Brazil! After much airline hassle, they arrived home to Gettysburg and promptly went to the courthouse for a civil ceremony. But none of the rest of the family had met my new niece.
So, yesterday, my sister and her husband had a celebration of Nathan and Gleice’s (pronounced Glase-y) marriage at their home in Gettysburg, PA. I wasn’t about to miss this event or the chance to meet my new niece. Thus the long drive. But we also got to see family members from Michigan that had made the trip in during their spring break to visit and attend the celebration!
Here are some pics of the newlyweds.
Nathan got my grandmother’s engagement ring after she passed away. He had it sized and gave it to Gleice at their civial ceremony here in the states.
It was such a wonderful evening. I’m tired today since we had to come home last night (our son had invited, with our permission, some of his college friends for a barbecue long before this celebration was planned) but it was worth it and I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I had to!
Have a blessed day. I’m hoping to be back tomorrow or early next week with some freebie QP’s from Julia’s (BeaconScrap) newest kits that are freebies right now on her blog. Head on over, they won’t be there long!
Blessings,

Hey Carolyn -
I can't find an email to reply so I'm posting here. :)
We now have 8 people signed up for the Sunflower Patch train so we'll be fine - I'm running it regardless because if people are willing to create they they should be able to have their train promoted. I hope we get to 10 - but I don't want to discredit that people that are already on the ball. I hope you join in! We've got two people with previews posted already.
:) Mags, ADSD
