Reactivation

I've decided to reactivate this blog as I have joined a new CT.   I want to keep my other blog for posting my own designs and creations and layouts from those kits that my CT has created.  If you aren't familiar with my other blog, you can find it at www.digicyberscraps.com/blog.  That's where you will find most of my posts and all of my designs and layouts.

I thought, though, that I would like to showcase my CT work here to keep the two separate.  So, you will get some posts from time to time if you stick around.  I'll be sharing 2-3 layouts from my CT work each month and maybe even a freebie QP once in a while.  We'll have to see how that goes!  :-)

But for now, I'm back, even if only a couple times a month.

Blessings,

Just a quick reminder that I am no longer updating this blog. Everything has been moved to my new blog at: http://www.digicyberscraps.com/blog. If you want the freebies and the news, head on over there and add it to your bookmarks.

It's Working

I got the Google Friend Connect to work on my new blog. I know that it works, because I became the first to join. So, if you have joined this blog via Google Friend Connect, please click here to head over to my new blog and join there. I will NOT be updating this blog anymore.

Thanks,

Changes

I know that I have been MIA and I apologize for that! But I've been busy with some things that will help me and make things a little easier for me. No, there is no new computer yet. I'm still saving up those pennies, but that takes quite a while. :-)

However, I did want to let you know about the newest thing that I have going on. Over the next several weeks (unless I find a quicker way to do it) I'll be moving this blog over to WordPress. Why? I'm glad that you asked. Although I like Blogger as my blog host, I can incorporate a WordPress blog with the store and have it all in one place. The new blog address is: www.digicyberscraps.com/blog. I just implemented this change today so if you head over there, you won't see anything that looks familiar. I wanted to give you all a heads up, though, so that you can change your feeds, bookmarks, etc. I don't want you to miss out on anything that might be happening on my blog, like a freebie or so. BTW, I am planning on a freebie in the very near future!

So, please make the changes and when the new blog is totally up and running, I won't be posting on this one anymore. Please don't miss out! See you on the other blog!

Bad Blogger

I've been such a neglectful blogger of late. I've been so busy working on the store that I have totally forgotten my blog. And then, to top it all off, I left NYC for my annual trek to Michigan. Monday was a very early day for me as my flight left at 6:00 am. I'm not a morning person at all, but that day I certainly was. I flew to Milwaukee where I had a 2.5 hour delay and then on to Michigan.

I arrived to rainy cool weather, which I really didn't mind at all. We've been quite busy. I visited the school where my sister-in-law will be teaching in the coming school year and then on to the school where she taught this past year so that she could finish up a few things. That was on Tuesday. Then yesterday we had a busy shopping day. We met my sil's cousin for breakfast and spent a few hours shopping. There is a new yarn shop that opened up and we wanted to see it! Pretty cool stuff! I bought a few patterns but no yarn. We then headed to Joann's Fabrics for the yarn and knitting needles that I needed to my project. I was glad that we waited to get the yarn there. I got a great deal on sock yarn for my first pair of socks. I have other sock yarn at home, but I'm bound and determined to get these socks finished and I needed some yarn! You can't beat 97 cents for a skein. I needed 2! I also got another color but that one was a little more expensive but still on sale. I was very happy with those deals!

A bead shop and Office Depot were our next stops. I was able to do some Christmas shopping at Office Depot and I was VERY happy about that. I love to have all my shopping done by Thanksgiving and be able to focus on decorating and meal planning, etc.

Today won't be quite so busy. We have to run a few more errands and then I'll be back to knit or read. Tomorrow we leave for a few day at the lake with the parents of my sister-in-law's daughter-in-law. Did that make sense? That's where we've been each July 4 that I have been here. I love the fireworks overhead!

Have you checked out the store? If not, head on over and see what you can find. I'm still not really open for business -- I've set everything up with PayPal but I really want to test it all out before I open and I just haven't had a chance to do that. But head on over and browse. I think that you'll find some familiar things. I'm hoping to get a few new items in when I get home!

I'll try to be more faithful in posting. I really had wanted to get a freebie up for you before I left, but that didn't happen. However, you will be getting something tomorrow and with a direct download. Please let me know if you have any problems and I'll do my best to fix them from here. I'll be here until next Thursday when my sil and I head to Pennsylvania -- we're driving! I'm not exactly sure when I'll be back in NYC since my dh hasn't decided when to pick up me! But that's ok, I'll enjoy a visit with my parents and sister and her family!

Have a happy July 4!! Take lots of pics and then show me your layouts or post them in the gallery.

Blessings,

They Have Arrived . . .

. . . direct downloads, that is! I'm excited for you with the prospect of direct downloads. I have always hated using 4shared and MediaFire, but I had no other option until now! I have my store front ready and you can take a look here. It is still in the beginning stages. In fact, I've only been working on it for 2 days, and not constantly. I have the design pretty much complete but there is still a lot to do. I have to upload all of my products yet. I have one product there so I could get a feel for how it would look. I'm anxious to get the rest up and going. Stay tuned! Take a look at my store and let me know what you think. Once I am fully up and running, I'll be offering a great sale. Be sure to stop back so you don't miss it. I'm also hoping to get the newsletter feature up, but that may take a while.

I don't know if you noticed, but my new blog header is now fully linked. The same header is used at my store and will also be linked once I figure it all out (it's a little more complicated there). I'll also be adding forum and gallery tags when those aspects of my store are in place. The gallery will be used only for sharing layouts using my kits. But I would love for you to add your layouts! That will all be in the newsletter when they are ready to go.

I'll be putting out a new CT call when everything is in place -- most likely sometime in August or September. I really want to get my CT active again! It's been too long and I've put off doing anything about it since I had this dream of my own store.

The ADSD blog train has been postponed until July 1. Once again, I will be in Michigan visiting family at that time, but I'll have my post scheduled so that it will post while I'm gone. I should warn you that this is a very, very small train. Don't be disappointed, though. You'll get enough goodies to make it worth your short ride. This will be the first time that I'll have a direct download for you and I would love to know how you like it, if it worked and if you had any trouble with it. You can email me but I may not get back to you right away. The train will be up all month, so if there is a problem with the link, I'll fix it when I get home or I'll give my tech guy (my son) a call and see what he can do.

Thanks for hanging in there with me while I make these changes!

Blessings,

Beginnings of a New Look

I don't know if you noticed or not, but I've started to revamp my blog. I figured that it was about time that I had a new look. The header is the only thing right now that is new, but it is quite different from the last one. On this header you may notice the "tags" that say blog, facebook, twitter and store. You can click on those images and a new window will open in your browser. For now, I have my personal facebook page listed, but am hoping to get a fan page (or whatever they are called) started. When that happens, the facebook "tag" will open to that page.

The store "tag" opens a window to my current store. That will also change when the new store is up and running. Speaking of the new store, we are one step closer. I've been waiting for my domain name to transfer from one company to my web hosting company. That is almost complete. When it is, the store will be almost ready to open. I'll have to do a little tweaking and add products and I'll be good to go.

I'll be working next on the background of my blog. Stay tuned for those updates. If you happen to come by and the blog looks all wonky, it's because I'm changing things around. Just keep popping in!

June Blog Train

It looks like the ADSD blog train is not going to take place. There were only a few people that had signed up and at least one of the has had to drop out. A blog train of only a couple of people is not really a blog train at all. My part is finished, zipped and ready to go.

Since my part is all set, you are still going to get this mini kit. However, I want to be able to offer you a direct download so this mini kit may not be available on June 1. We are still in the process of setting up my store. We are waiting for my domain name to be transferred to the company that will be hosting my store. It's in the process, but not completed. Hopefully it will be done today or tomorrow at the latest. If that happens, the download will be ready on June 1. If not, it will have to wait because I will be away for a few days.

We are going to visit my parents. We leave on Sunday and return on Wednesday. I'll make sure that regardless of what happens, the mini kit will be available by sometime next week.

Since you may have to wait, I thought that I would give you a sneak peak.

This is just a test

Just testing things out with my blog. As you know, I'm going through MAJOR changes right now. Since I had to change things around a big, I wanted to know if it was all working. If you get this message, please add your short comment so that I know you aren't having any problems. Thanks!

Update on Store

Just a quick update -- changes are in the works. When coming to my blog, for now, please type in www.digicyberscraps.blogspot.com. We are in the beginning stages of setting up the store and I don't want there to be a disruption in your service!

Please hang in there with me while we, my son and I, make the necessary changes. Once my domain name is fully transferred, you'll be able to once again type in www.digicyberscraps.com and will be directed to the store. There will be a link for you to get to my blog.

GREAT NEWS!!!!!

I have some news to share that I think will excite all of you. I have been talking about the possibility of opening my own store and at the least paying a hosting company to host my blog so that I can offer direct downloads. It looks like all of this is going to happen within the next few weeks. I'm hoping to at least start offering direct downloads for the next blog train which goes live on June 1! I know that most of you hate dealing with MediaFire and any of the other files hosting sites due to virus issues. Well, that will no longer happen here!!

I'm not going to promise that direct download links will be available on June 1, but I will be working towards that end.

As for the store, that will be a work in process. When I have it all up and running (with the help of my son) I will be having a grand opening sale!! Now you will no longer have to wait for me to send you the download links when you make a purchase.

About the only thing that won't change is my name. I am now and forever will be, at least as long as I'm designing and scrapping, Digi Cyber Scraps. So you'll only have to type in www.digicyberscraps.com and you will be taken directly to the store. You will find a link on the front page of the store for my blog.

Stay tuned for all the juicy details!!

Stuff

I know that I have been MIA for quite some time.  I’m not going to promise that I will be better at posting because I don’t want to break that promise.  However, I will try to do better.  My posts, however, won’t have much to do with digital scrapbooking.  I’m still unable to do very much designing on my computer.  I’ve scanned and cleaned up what I could but it’s still very slow and won’t let me do much.  Maybe it’s time to wipe the thing clean and start fresh.  I’ll just have to see if time permits for that.

I did want to touch base with you all, though.  You may remember that quite some time ago (in fact, right here) I posted about a new project that I was working on.  I have wanted to post this for some time.  Now is probably not the best time, but if you want to find out the surprise, click here!  I’m not going to tell you what it is, you’ll have to click to find out.  Let me know what your thoughts are by leaving cryptic comments in the comment section of this post or by leaving a comment where the link takes you.

I also wanted to let you know that I put another kit in the store about a month ago (does that tell you something about what has been going on here?!?).  It’s not a new one.  In fact, it was part of a blog train some time ago.  I made some minor changes, made new previews and now it’s available for sale for only $1.00!!  You can click on the image below to be taken to my store.

DCS_ATGB_ANIMATED

That’s about all for the update.  I hope to be back soon with some goodies . . .  only time will tell!

I’m Back and Rarin’ to Go!

We made it home safely last evening after a wonderful week in Virginia Beach.  I was hoping to get some posts up while we were away since I had been told we would have internet access.  We could have had internet access, but we didn’t want to pay $5 a day.  It just wasn’t worth it for us.  So I was computer free all week and loved it!  It was great to be away for a bit.

Our resort was right on the beach or at least as close as you can get!  We were on the first floor and right outside our window was the beach.  It was lovely hearing the waves crashing and smelling the salt air!  I’m not a water fan, but I even went in the water once -- the last day that we were there.  It was a great way to spend my birthday, though!

Speaking of birthdays, you won’t believe what my wonderful family got me for my birthday!  No, not a new computer, although that would have been great.  They did get me something as equally needed, though.  They got me a new printer since mine is DOA.  I haven’t even had a chance to get it set up yet.  All in due time.

I just wanted to let you know that I’m back for the next week or so.  I leave a week from tomorrow for my trip to Michigan.  I’ll be gone on that trip for 12 days.  But, while I’m gone, two blog trains will  go live.  I’ll get my part all set up and ready to go so that they post while I’m away.

That’s it for now.  Hopefully I’ll be back tomorrow with some pics of our trip!

Blessings,

burgundy signature (Small) (Small)

P.S.  Some of you have been wondering how the neck has been.  I think the time away has been just what the doctor would have ordered.  I’m trying to be very careful about how much time I spend on the computer.  My time in Michigan should help, too!

Can You Guess the Surprise?

I'm sure that you are wondering what is going on here at Digi Cyber Scraps since I haven't been around much. I've had a super busy week. I've been helping a new CT member get acclimated to the new position that she has and have been working on that surprise that I mentioned in my last post.  That actually took up quite a bit of my time.  I even got my son involved in the project.  But I love the finished “product” and am hoping to unveil it soon.  Can you guess what it is?  Leave a guess in the comment section of this post.  The first person that guesses correctly, will receive a kit of their choice from my store!

In the meantime, I finished up another kit.  This one will be going directly into the store in a few days.  In the meantime, here’s the preview.

DCS_CMW_ANIMATED

My plan it to have a couple of QP’s for you tomorrow and then my CT will start posting their QP’s.  This is a huge kit and even though I have shown the elements and paper in the same preview, they will be sold separately.  There are 32 papers and 134 elements.  There will also be an add-on pack of paper that includes an additional 24 papers.  The total cost of all 3 parts is only $3.00.  You can purchase all three or just one, whatever your preference is.

Be sure to come back tomorrow for your QP’s!

Exciting Things are Happening at DCS!!

Yes, it's true. There are some exciting things happening, but for now that's about all I can say! What I can say is that the exciting thing is why I haven't posted any freebie since last week. Stay tuned for further information in the not so distant future, I hope!

Bye!

Hopefully that got your attention! I know, I'm a real bugger, aren't I!?!

I know that I won't get another chance and I wanted to let you know that I leave tomorrow for my annual spring retreat in Pennsylvania. My dd and I are the only ones going this year, but it will be a blast, I'm sure. It always is.

I also wanted to let you know that I have been diligently working (which causes the neck pain to flair up) on 2 new kits for you. The first one is finished and you will be receiving it on May 1 as part of the ADSD blog train. The other one is just about done. I have previews to do and then I'll be able to post that one too.

I'll be posting only part of each of the kit as your freebie -- sort of a mini kit, but more than a mini, really. The entire version of each kit will be going into the store and will be available for only $1!! So stay tuned.

Have a great weekend and I'll see you back here on Monday!

I’m Celebrating!

I’ll start off this post by stating that if you came looking for freebies today, I don’t have any for you.  You see, I was gone all day yesterday or at least most of the day.  We (my dh, dd and I) left around 9:45 Friday morning and got home about 1:15 Saturday morning.  We took a drive out to Gettysburg -- a 4 hour trip one way.

Are you wondering why?  If so, keep reading and if not, that’s ok.  But I am going to tell you.  Two weeks ago one of my nephews got married.  No big deal, right?  WRONG!  The thing is, none of the family, not even his parents, were able to attend this wedding.  He was married in Brazil!  After much  airline hassle, they arrived home to Gettysburg and promptly went to the courthouse for a civil ceremony.  But none of the rest of the family had met my new niece.

So, yesterday, my sister and her husband had a celebration of Nathan and Gleice’s (pronounced Glase-y) marriage at their home in Gettysburg, PA.  I wasn’t about to miss this event or the chance to meet my new niece.  Thus the long drive.  But we also got to see family members from Michigan that had made the trip in during their spring break to visit and attend the celebration!

Here are some pics of the newlyweds.

Nathan got my grandmother’s engagement ring after she passed away.  He had it sized and gave it to Gleice at their civial ceremony here in the states.

It was such a wonderful evening.  I’m tired today since we had to come home last night (our son had invited, with our permission, some of his college friends for a barbecue long before this celebration was planned) but it was worth it and I’d do it again in a heartbeat if I had to!

Have a blessed day.  I’m hoping to be back tomorrow or early next week with some freebie QP’s from Julia’s (BeaconScrap) newest kits that are freebies right now on her blog.  Head on over, they won’t be there long!

Blessings,

Me

Unfortunately, I don’t come bearing gifts today.  In fact, I come to share some news that you may not like a whole lot and I’m sorry to have to do this to you.

I’ve decided that I need to take a little break from designing.  Don’t worry, you will receive the rest of Free Spirit and QP’s that I have made for you.  But it may be a while before there is a new kit to offer you.  I need to concentrate on getting my kits into the store.

However, the real reason for taking this break is that I’m having some back and neck pain again and I believe that it is from being at the computer so much.  When I don’t spend a lot of time here, I feel much better.  You may remember that several years ago I had such pain that I couldn’t even sit at the computer.  Well, it’s coming back and I can’t deal with that right now.  So, I’m taking this much needed break from designing.

I hope that you all stick with me, though.  I do have things on my hard drive that I could share with you and as my health permits, I’ll be at the computer, just not as much or as often.

Thanks for understanding as I struggle with this, again.  I appreciate you all so much and don’t want to leave you hanging.

I’m going to schedule my posts for the rest of my freebies.  That means there won’t be any chit chat, just the preview and download links.  I’ll also be away from the computer totally for several days next week as my daughter and I take our annual trip with my sister and niece.  I didn’t want you to miss out, though.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.  Thanks!

Blessings,

Store News and Contest Winner

I have some news regarding my store.  I have closed down my blogspot store.  It was just too time consuming and I couldn’t get the buttons to work correctly.  That means that right now I don’t have my kits in any store.

However, I have been accepted to sell my kits at Scrapdebris.  You can see the banner on the right side of my blog.  If you click on it, you will be taken directly to the store.  What does this mean for you?  It means that all of my kits will be selling for only $1.  If you miss out on a freebie, it will eventually go into the store and you won’t have to spend a lot of money to complete the kit.  Just $1 will get you the entire kit!  You can’t beat that for a real bargain!  I should have some of the my kits up by this weekend.  But stop on by the store and take a look.  There are some great things there!

The last part of this post is for Teresa, the winner of the contest.  If you aren’t Teresa, you can continue on to your next task.  Teresa, I need you to click here to email me.  I never received an email with your address so that I could send you the links for your freebie kit.  Please contact me by the end of the week or I will have to choose another winner.  I hate to do that, but . . .  Thanks!

Have a great day, wherever you are!

Surprise, for Me!

I just had to let you all know what a wonderful husband I have.  I was working diligently down here in the dungeon on my February kit for all of you when I heard the doorbell ring.  I knew that the mail had already come and FedEx had even dropped something off that I was waiting for.  To my surprise, my dh called me and said that I had some mail.  So of course, I went upstairs and there sat an FTD box.  i have NEVER received anything from FTD before but I knew what it meant.  Of course, I opened that box immediately, and lo and behold, this is what I found:

DSCF4184

Of course they weren’t in the vase, but I quickly got them there!!  I have never, ever received 2 dozen roses before in my entire life!  I am so excited!!  This man, who does not like Valentine’s day, knows that I like it and always finds a way to surprise me even though he says it’s not for Valentines Day.  It really doesn’t matter, though, does it?

Here are a couple more shots of my lovely flowers.

DSCF4183

DSCF4185

I probably should have cropped these, but I haven’t bothered yet.  I just love these beautiful flowers.  My dh knows that roses are my faves, too!!

I will have a surprise of sorts for you on Monday, I hope.  I’m almost done my newest kit.  It is entitled “A Time to Love” and is just as big as my other kits.   It’s not your usual Valentine colors, though.  Here’s a preview of the colors.

A Time to Love

The surprise for you is that this is not a mini kit at all.  It’s a full fledged kit with 40 papers, over 110 elements and a full alpha and I’m not even finished.  I don’t have a lot to add, just a few elements.

I’m also hoping to have some other news to share with you later this week.  Stay tuned.

I’m shutting down for the night.  Have a great evening and see you back here tomorrow!

Blessings,
