I’m Back

I’m back from my little trip away and my break from the computer.  Although the break will be continuing on a modified basis.  I’ve felt so much better these days that I have not spent long hours at the computer.  I don’t want to go backwards in my healing process, so time here will be limited.  However, I did want you to know that I’m on the mend!

We had a great trip to visit family in Gettysburg.  It was a short one -- we left last Wednesday afternoon and arrived home almost exactly 3 days later.  My daughter, Johannah, and I crammed a lot into that short trip.

As you know, every spring we take a trip out to visit family and go on a day trip with my sister and her oldest daughter.  This year we went to a place called Meadowbrook Gourds.  What an interesting place!  They grow gourds and then turn them into the most amazing things.  The pics below show gourds in the field as they look before they are picked, gourds after they are cleaned and gourds after they are made into something really interesting.

These creations just amazed me!  So, of course, I had to get my own gourd creation and I knew exactly what I wanted.  Do you remember the roses that my dh got for me back in February?  They have been dried and hanging in my kitchen waiting for just the right vase.  So, I got a gourd “vase” and think it looks great!  What do you think?

After the gourd store we went to this great grocery store that has things so cheap!  I got around $400 worth of groceries for about $210!  I was excited to say the least.  I still have to get meat and other perishables, but my grocery bill has been reduced about $70 this month.  And with all the free food that we got, our grocery bill next month could be reduced about the same amount!  What a blessing.

I have uploaded a new Scrapbook Max! booster pack for part 6 of A Time to Love.  I downloaded and it installed just fine.  So, if  you downloaded the old booster pack and it didn’t work for you, try the new one by clicking here.  Again, my apologies for this inconvenience.  I’m not sure what happened since I always test my booster packs before I make them available to you.

I just got a message from one of my readers that the Scrapbook Max! version of part 6 is not installing properly. I can't fix it tonight, but I promise to do that tomorrow morning. I'll be sure to let you know when it is fixed. If you have already downloaded part 6 and you can't install it, delete it and download the new one tomorrow. My sincerest apologies.

Almost

I was hoping to have your freebie posted by now, but I ran into a few snags.  After finding those snags, I had to go out to dinner to help plan a bridal shower.  But I’m back now and am working out the problems.  Then I have the preview to make and your freebie for today will be ready.  I’m still hoping to get it posted tonight, so keep checking back!!

Back to Normal, I Hope!

Well, the wonderful UPS man brought my new RAM chip today. My son just got finished installing it (his classes were canceled due to the snow) and I should be back to designing later today or tomorrow. I'm hoping everything is ok, though. After he got the chip installed, we had a couple minor glitches but they seem to be worked out. I have to admit, it will be nice to get back to doing what I love!

Stay tuned for a Valentine's kit. It will be late and probably much smaller than usual, but it will be forthcoming, I promise!!

Contest and As My Kids Would Say . . . Fail!

The fail part is this: I was hoping to get the first part of my new kit posted today, but as you can see that did not happen. I won't even begin to give you any excuses. It didn't get done because I didn't feel like working on it today. With all that is going on in my life right now, I think I'm suffering from a little depression. You would think that I would want to work even more then. But that's not how I function. Maybe it's because I'm in the dungeon and it's cold and dark down here. Maybe it's because my neck and back get so sore from sitting at the computer for just about any length of time. Maybe it's because . . . . I don't know, maybe it's just because. At any rate, this kit is NOT finished yet and I'm not sure when it will be although I'm excited to get it done. I purchased some cute clipart to include in this kit; that's one of the reasons that I want to get this done. The clipart is adorable!!

I had also hoped to get my pics from Wicked posted today. We had a wonderful time last night. If you are ever in NYC, please let me know and we can go see Wicked , Phantom or just about any other Broadway show together!! I'll do my best to get the pictures posted tomorrow along with a sneak peak at my new kit. It's a winter themed kit and the title is a song.

Trouble at the Store

If you have stopped by the store and tried to purchase something, you will have noticed that none of the "add to cart" PayPal buttons are currently working. I'm trying to get it fixed, but nothing is working for me tonight and I now have to go make dinner. Heads Up
