I made it home yesterday from our week in Pennsylvania, but I brought a bumper crop of hives with me! Somewhere (and I think it was at the picnic last Saturday) I came into contact with poison ivy. Now, that it in itself makes one itchy. But, to add fuel to the fire, I've reacted to this bout of poison ivy with hives. I've had hives in the past from allergic reactions, mainly to soaps, but never to poison ivy. Needless to say, I'm a bit miserable between the hives and the poison. Other than that, we had a wonderful week and spending the time with my daughter was great! She was quite busy this week, but we still were able to spend quite a bit of time together. In fact, while in PA, I took a trip down to my hairdresser and Johannah was able to go with me -- great mother/daughter time!
I took a crocheting project along with me. I came home with that one unfinished but orders for 3 more! I'm making my daughter this really cute pair of cuffed slippers. Some of her friends asked if I would make some for them. Since I love doing that kind of work, I of course said yes! When I get Johannah's pair done, I'll try to remember to post a pic here on the blog.
Hope you all had a great week. I'm looking forward to getting back into designing!
